Franchise FastLane Rear View Mirror: What Happened in June
Summer is definitely in full swing and – right on cue – things are definitely heating up here at Franchise FastLane. As FastLaners, we’re used to the frenetic pace it takes to keep up with all that’s going on in the world of franchising, and there’s plenty of new stories to hear as we share our recap of events, outings, and updates. For a full rewind of everything you may – or may not - have missed this month, we present our monthly roundup in this edition of Franchise FastLane’s Rear View Mirror – What Happened in June.
Networking Like Crazy!
There’s nothing like keeping up with all the important contacts and happenings in our entrepreneurial world, which is why Franchise FastLane maintains a robust schedule of conferences, events, and gatherings designed to spread the word about the brands in our esteemed portfolio. Representatives were present at the IFPG Regional Discovery Mixer on June 6 in Indianapolis. According to IFPG President Red Boswell, this professional franchise consultancy hosted more than 150 industry professionals. Sometimes, we’re even fortunate enough to attend international events, as was the case when Franchise FastLane participated as a Diamond Level sponsor of the Franchise Consulting Company (FCC) Summer 2024 Conference in Riviera Maya, Mexico – a real tropical paradise, we might add. Our attendees worked hard, played hard, and had the opportunity to network with some of the best minds in franchising. Lastly, Franchise FastLane had the pleasure of hosting representatives from IFPG and FranChoice at the annual College World Series – right here in our hometown of Omaha! Honors and Awards
Franchise FastLane is always proud to see the brands in our best-in-class portfolio get singled out for some well-deserved recognition. In June, EverLine Coatings and Services was named one of Franchise Business Review’s Culture 100 winners. And, while our team was present at the FCC Conference, top-five brand awards were bestowed upon Gameday Men’s Health (No. 2) and Five Star Bath Solutions (No. 5).
Let’s Play Ball!
Since Omaha is Franchise FastLane’s hometown headquarters, we had to include an item about the “Greatest Show on Dirt,” aka the annual NCAA Div. I College World Series baseball tournament, which occurs every June right here in our backyard! This year, we had the wonderful opportunity to play host to our guests from both IFPG and FranChoice, who between them sent over 30 of their finest franchise consultants to take it all in over the weekend. Our Franchise FastLane team even got a chance to wear our custom baseball jerseys! Think we should start up a team of our own? Anyway, congratulations goes to the University of Tennessee, who beat Texas A&M in the thrilling best-of-three series to become this year’s national champions. A New Family Member…
Franchise FastLane welcomed one new employee to our family of franchise development specialists. In June, Jenny Lauer joined the workforce as one of our new directors of franchise development. She may be the new kid on the block, but she’s already worked with 100+ candidates in her burgeoning career. Bonus: she and CEO Carey Gille have the same favorite quote – which you can view by visiting her new landing page.

Time for our roundup of brand-specific updates in June, with two notable accomplishments:
Bloomin’ Blinds – just announced a brand new exclusive franchise sponsorship with the Window Coverings Association of America (WCAA), the leading trade association for the window coverings industry. Bloomin’ Blinds will now have access to all educational events hosted by the WCAA, the opportunity to establish contact with a vast network of professionals and participate in pertinent advocacy issues on behalf of the industry.
Koala Insulation – recently shared a significant milestone in the brand’s history – they’re going international for the first time ever with an aggressive expansion into Canada. From where Franchise FastLane stands, that sounds like a pretty meaningful update, eh?
