Hear Directly From a Franchise Owner with The Tox
A multi-unit franchise owner with The Tox, Theresa McViegh just opened the first of her three locations in the upscale DFW suburb of Southlake, Texas. She has plans to open two additional locations in Fort Worth and Flower Mound. Though no prior health or medical experience is necessary, McViegh brings some impressive in-category credentials, having served as a licensed dietician along with several other successful stints in the wellness industry. She also has previous entrepreneurial experience which left her well-suited to pursue opportunities like The Tox. She recently shared her thoughts on what first attracted her to The Tox’s business model.
“What initially drew me to The Tox was the novelty of the business model. There really is no other business like it out there yet. The idea of being an early adopter really appealed to me, to be at the forefront of what I predict will be a growing trend in the years ahead. It’s also important to me to be involved in a business that aligns with my personal values and my own passions.”
She also spoke to the level of training and support franchisees can expect from the brand’s corporate office. “It was fun to grow alongside The Tox corporate team as one of their first franchises to go through the process from start to finish. The training for my staff was phenomenal, and I can confidently say they were all ready from day one because of the attentive and thorough training provided by the corporate team.”
Even though she just opened the doors of her first location in Southlake, Texas, she can’t wait to expand operations.
“In the immediate future, I plan to start the build out of my remaining two locations. I could also potentially see more locations of The Tox in my future. My goal for entrepreneurship has always been to create more freedom of my time to pour myself into other endeavors that have a special meaning to me. I’m also looking to start a foundation for women in the next few years to provide funding for women experiencing hardships or escaping from difficult living situations.”
