They soon expanded services. “Depending on the type of fat a prospective client has, they may not be a good candidate for body sculpting by itself – body sculpting is for people with BMIs [body mass indexes] of 30 and below,” Kucik says. People with higher BMIs were not candidates, so bodenvy turned away a lot of people who needed help.

The global medspa market was about $18.6 billion in 2023, with projected growth of 15.1% annually from now through 2030, when it will exceed $49.3 billion, according to Grand View Research. The market research firm stated that body contouring alone was a $1.5 billion global market in 2023 and is expected to grow 14.3% annually through 2030, reaching more than $3.8 billion. 

According to bodenvy President Kevin Baron, the brand serves clients who typically fit one of two categories. “They either receive body sculpting or enter our Extreme Transformation program. Body sculpting clients undergo a couple of rounds of treatments and focus specifically on improving the aesthetics of their bodies. Extreme Transformation clients enter a 17-week program that uses a holistic approach of improving the clients’ aesthetics but also their wellness by reducing overall body fat. This program combines a variety of technologies to reduce visible fat and build muscles, while also providing weekly nutritional coaching and data measurements to track fat reduction and ensure the maximum retention of muscles.”

Technology assists both clients and franchisees at bodenvy medspa franchise, Baron says. “A staff app helps our employees access all of our standard operating procedures to ensure each client gets a consistently high-quality experience. Our client app provides appointment reminders, access to contracts, their before and after photos, information on all our modalities, and connects them to our social media. Franchisees use the sales kiosk during our initial consultations to access sales/marketing information on all of our services and equipment. This not only provides prospective clients with information, but makes the sales process much easier for the salesperson by providing them a significant amount of tools to close the sales.”
